Continuation…

CONTINUATION:

  I’m slowing down a bit, mostly because I’ve been busy on some projects for work. Those, in turn, inspire me to do more work on my TeachersPayTeachers site projects. I’ve already met my yearly goal for that, though, and it’s not even February. I think I need to set a higher goal for myself, maybe hit 300 products there, but I really should get some writing done, as well.

   I find the book to be amusing, especially the interplay between Judas and his three female ‘roommates,’ each of which is a different alien species: Maylen, the short but curvy and very aggressive female, SAIRA, the once-upon-a-time android with identity issues, and Cahlaim, the lithe warrior.

  As I write, I’m trying not to change much, but my style has changed somewhat, and there are some areas that needed clearing up, or slight additions. I usually find that I add as much as 10% to the story each time I edit it. Clearly, I do not want to add another 20-30 pages at this point. I think I’ve added a couple, but not a lot.

  One area that I’ve definitely changed my style in is dialogue tagging. I’ve cleaned up some of it, but it’s still rough in areas. I think for my next novel, I will really focus on that, if it’s a new project. If I continue one of the projects I’ve already begun, I don’t want to change style much between volumes.
