So I added a new game activity book. I’ve really been pushing myself to come up with activities that I can put in a for-print book, instead of just 1-shot activities that sell on sites. I think this new way could open me up to more income in the future…
That being said, I made, from start-to-finish, a whole activity book in the last 24 hours or so. Monster Zoo Math makes kids fight monsters in a sort of pen and paper RPG game way with their basic math skills and dice. It’s simple, but hopefully fun. 🙂
This is my latest educational project. It really only took a few days to brainstorm, edit, and throw together. I think it’ll be a pretty hot item on my educational sales sites. It’s a card game to get kids up and moving. 72 cards in color in 3 categories: movers, advanced movers, and shakers (to make the rules more fun).
As usual, it’ll be available on all major online booksellers, especially Amazon. 🙂
I created a new site today for my 50 STEM Labs book series. They’re by far my best-selling pieces to date, and it just seems like they need a site! I’ve created a temporary home for them at 50stemlabs.weebly.com, which might get upgraded to a full site with a domain of my own in the next few weeks. I’m set to renew all of my sites anyway.
It has not really been my intent to only release educational materials, but the development and turnaround is way faster than months of writing and editing! I hope this year to get back to editing the Underspace War Trilogy, but for now, I’ve at least drawn first blood with this new book on 2/2/15.
This volume works well with Sentence Builders and Weekly Sentence Strips. It’s part of the Literacy Builders series. It features hundreds of little scrabble-style tiles to build words with. You have letter combinations and blends to help create sounds, and over 70 worksheets to go along with them. Get your copy!
Sentence Builders has been a great hit! I’ve sold more copies of that in a shorter time than any other volume I’ve ever made! It really surprised me, so I made a new volume that goes along with it. Sentence Builders is a huge resource, but its a bit cumbersome to use and to get the words you need. Weekly Writing Strips takes the same idea but makes a new page for every week of the school year. You don’t have to make them on your own. They’re done for you!

I wanted to toot my own horn about the latest book I’ve just released. It’s a collection of my popular creative writing card sets that I sell on teachers’ websites. I figured I’d tidy them up, redo them a bit, add some new content, and release them as a full printed volume. They will soon be available on Amazon, but they’re already up on most of my other sites!
I posted this one a few weeks ago, but I forgot to update my blog. Too many sites to maintain, I suppose. It does keep me busy. This one is a great science teaching resource. I do pretty well selling this one on educational sites, so now it’s also available on lulu and amazon.
CHASING THE BLUES:
I also just released this romantic young adult volume today. It’s a rework of an older novellas I wrote a good 10 years ago or so. I added content, cleaned it up, and made a fancy new cover for it. I made a few posts about the editing process, but then went silent. I just plowed through the last quarter of it after stalling for a couple weeks to write some educational materials for http://www.havefunteaching.com .
